Getting started is simpler than you think.
This complimentary call offers an opportunity to briefly discuss what you are currently navigating and determine whether working together would be a good fit. There is no paperwork or obligation at this stage.
I can answer any questions you may have about therapy, my approach, or what working together might involve.
The conversation is intended to help you assess whether the fit feels right.
Once we decide to work together, we will schedule an initial 50-minute intake session. This session focuses on gathering information and gaining a thorough understanding of your background, current concerns, and what you have already tried—what has been helpful and what has not.
I will ask you questions to better understand your experiences and priorities, and we will begin clarifying your goals for therapy. The purpose of this session is not diagnosis or directive advice, but to collaboratively develop an approach that is thoughtful, relevant and tailored to you.
After the intake, most clients meet weekly or biweekly (every two weeks). Some people need more frequency at the start; others prefer more space between sessions. We'll figure out what works for you.
What sessions look like:
Sessions are 50 minutes, usually held virtually via a secure video platform. (In-person sessions may be available—let me know if that's important to you.)
We'll talk about what's happening in your life, identify patterns, and build practical skills. Some sessions will feel heavy; others will feel like breakthroughs. All of them will be focused on what matters to you.
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. We'll tailor everything to your needs, your goals, and your pace.
It depends. Some people feel better after a few months; others work with me for longer. We'll check in regularly about what's working and what you still need.
That's fair. Therapy requires time, energy, and emotional space. If you're not sure, let's talk about it in the consult. There's no pressure.
Only if it's relevant. I'm more interested in what's happening now and what you want to change.
